2nd Street Stage – The Federales

July 18, 2024

July 18 – 2nd Street Stage 6-8 p.m.

Classic Country

The Federales are not from the Black Hills, the Texas Panhandle or Appalachia. We’re from the Twin Cities. Damn proud of it, too, but we play country music, because it’s one of America’s native languages. We use it to tell our stories of love, good times, Grain Belt and friends. Some are fact. Some are fiction with the truth hiding in there somewhere. All of them are heartfelt. We’re pickers, fiddlers, groovers and harmonizers. We’re ready to make you sing along, get up and dance or just sit and tap your toes. We’re The Federales. “[H]eartbroken lyrics sound like they’d fit right in at a summertime backyard party.” – The Current. The Federales are James Gould, electric guitar; Mark Larson, drums; Ben Miller, acoustic guitar, harmonica, vocals; Jay Scabich, fiddle; Andy Schuster, bass; Karl Wahoske, banjo, acoustic guitar, vocals. That’s a given. Major sponsors are R.D. Offutt Farms, TruStar Federal Credit Union and Monika’s Quilt and Yarn Shop. Enbridge is support sponsor. Band sponsor July 18 is Hilltop Lumber. Arrive at 5 for the social hour, sponsored by the Heritage Community, and remember to bring your own chair.
