Art Leap, an “open studio event” featuring artists and guest artists, will offer 23 sites and feature 90 artists at studios and other locations in Hubbard and Becker counties the weekend of Sept. 24 and 25. Sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Hop from studio to studio, learn process, appreciate skill and support the artists. Let fall’s natural beauty inspire you as it does the artists. as you pass lakes and travel country roads.The Event Guide for the 2022 Art Leap is available to view or download at www.heartlandarts.org.
Event guides are available at the Park Rapids Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, Park Rapids Area Library and other locations.
See what’s new at studios and sites you’ve visited in the past and find new places that will be part of this year’s event. Some sites will host new guest artists and new works that will interest first time and returning visitors.
Notes: The directions to #24 (Chuck Weygand – Rocky Shores Woodworking – in the event guide are incorrect. They should read From Akeley: Turn south on Hwy. 64, 5 blocks then left on 4th Street/County 12 for 5 miles. Destination will be on the right. Please also note the Osage Schoolhouse will not be open for Art Leap. Brenda Mason will be showing her creative fashions at her residence for Art Leap. Her address is 512 Park Ave. So. You may have seen her work before at WolffWorks Studio.
