Headwaters Center for Lifelong Learning: An American Refugee in Canada – A Different View of 9/11

October 26, 2021

On September 11, 2001, as the world watched destruction of the World Trade Center in disbelief, Marily Dreessen’s flight home from Paris was diverted to Canada. She and 200 other passengers and crew waited there for a week before being allowed to return to the U.S. She will speak at the Headwaters Center for Lifelong Learning program October 26. HCLL programs are from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Armory Arts & Events Center, 203 Park Ave. So. The sessions are free and handicapped accessible. Refreshments and treats provided.
