Holiday movie matinees

Free movie matinees at Park Theater on the Saturdays before Christmas are a beloved tradition that goes back decades. All matinees are at 1 p.m. and free with the donation of a nonperishable food item for the Hubbard County Food Shelf. This year Park Theater will show a free Thanksgiving weekend matinee, Planes, Trains &  Automobiles (1987), Saturday, Nov. 25. On the following Saturdays, choose a movie from the “Nice List” or the “Naughty List” – all free: Dec. 9 – The Grinch (2018, PG) or National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989, PG-13), Dec. 16 – Elf (2003, PG) or Fatman (2020, R), Dec. 23 – The Polar Express (2004, PG) or Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010, R).
