Indigenous Beaded Hoop Earring Sessions

November 28, 2022

Create beautiful beaded hoop earrings using a FREE craft kit at the Park Rapids Area Library. Leann Willenbring will lead the session with the help of an instructional video by artist and designer, Tawny Trottier Cale, an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe as well as a descendant of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa and the Spirit Lake Nation. She loves to share her beadwork knowledge with others, creating custom beadwork with her sisters as Sister Beads. Each participant will makeĀ one pair of pierced earrings using a brick stitch pattern. Anyone ages 10 and up (8 and up with adult or older sibling) can participate. Choose either session: Monday, November 28 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. or 3:30-5:30 p.m. Pre-registration is appreciated, as the activity is limited to 20 participants.
