The Northern Light Opera Company will present Pippin at The Armory Arts & Events Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 30 and Saturday, July 30 and at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 1 and at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, Thursday, August 5 and Friday, August 6 and at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 7. The NLOC cast is now in rehearsals preparing an exciting show and the crew is transforming The Armory Arts & Events Center into the Medieval realm of Charlemagne. Pippin and his father, Emperor Charlemagne, are historical characters, but the plot is fictional and presents no historical accuracy regarding either. Pippin is the story of a young man’s journey to be extraordinary, to find the secret of true happiness and fulfillment. He ultimately finds meaning in the unextraordinary moments of daily life. The production of Pippin at the Armory Arts & Events Center marks the 20th year NLOC has produced family friendly musicals that give audiences a close up, intimate theater experience.
