Science in Nature: Ticks and Mosquitoes of Minnesota – Don’t Let Them Bug You

Are you curious about how nature functions? Uncover the mysteries of nature! Join scientists and researchers as we explore their discoveries. Learn how to protect yourself from tick and mosquito bites while enjoying the great outdoors! We will go field collecting and learn how to identify different species of these critters. Guest for this program from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, June 23 is Jordan Mandli, vector borne disease expert with the Minnesota Department of Health. This program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota’s Itasca Biological Station and Itasca State Park. Meet at the Lake Itasca Amphitheater (rain location the Picnic Shelter).
