After weeks of exploring the possibilities of why our webcam hasn’t been working, we learned the model of webcam we have is defective. Today (Aug. 5) it was removed and mailed to the provider. It will be replaced with a new webcam. We don’t know how long this will take but hope the turn around is quick and adjustments can be made soon after the new one arrives. We are as disappointed as you it has taken such a long time to resolve the problem and understand this has been frustrating. We trust you will be able to share and enjoy our Main Street experience soon.
The downtown webcam overlooks Main Street in Park Rapids, MN. You can view our extra wide Main Street and life in a small town: shopkeepers sweeping their sidewalks, friends and neighbors visiting and kids cruising Main. Depending on the season, Park Rapids’ sidewalks may be filled with shoppers and all the center street parking slots occupied. Or the snow may be gently falling and people are scurrying to and from stores with their noses buried in their mittens. Webcam visitors enjoy viewing downtown events like the Main Street Christmas tree lighting the Friday after Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July Parade and Trick or Treat Park Rapids.
